Among 23 distinguished members, the American Society For Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) has selected Dr. John Kresl of Phoenix CyberKnife to receive the ASTRO Fellow designation. This prestigious cancer organization honors exceptional service to the field of radiation oncology and cancer care. The Fellows Program also honors individuals who have been ASTRO members for at least fifteen years and who have made substantial contributions to the radiation oncology field. These areas of contribution include research, education, patient care or service, and leadership. At ASTRO’s 59th Annual Meeting, he will receive his FASTRO designation at the San Diego Convention Center.
With more than 10,000 members who are physicians, biologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals, ASTRO is the premier radiation oncology society in the world. The society is dedicated to advocacy, advancement of science and research, and support for clinical practice and health policy standards.
