What Is CyberKnife?
Today, there are many different treatment options for brain cancer or head and neck tumors. Radiation therapy has had successful results in the past, and now the Phoenix CyberKnife and Radiation Oncology Center offers the most advanced form of radiation therapy for brain, head, and neck tumors: the CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System.
The CyberKnife System is a non-invasive alternative to brain cancer surgery for both operable and inoperable tumors. No uncomfortable head frames with bolts or screws are required during treatment; the patient lies comfortably while the CyberKnife System targets the tumor’s exactly location with sub-millimeter accuracy before radiation is delivered. This exactness limits the amount of exposure to nearby organs, nerves, or tissues.
Treatment with CyberKnife is performed on an outpatient basis, requiring no overnight stays in the hospital, and the treatment is completed in 1-5 days.
Our team at Phoenix CyberKnife will work with you to determine the best course for treatment, whether you have CyberKnife as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with other treatments.
